Held every two years, the AAD show is Africa's largest air and defence show. We flew in and out from Rand Airport in the SAA Historic Flight's DC-4 ZS-BMH, which was scheduled to take part in the airshow, but that, and several other expected attractions, didn't happen.
The show was well attended, and the weather was great, but the show was a bit lacking, with several acts appearing more than once. The Air Force and the Air Force Museum put on impressive and spirited shows, and in some measure compensated for other shortcomings. |
