| We started with the news that our permission to visit Air Force bases around Cape Town had been revoked, but the rest of our tour went well, and the tourism around Cape Town, Cape Point and Stellenbosch was excellent.
We received very warm welcomes at the Air Force Bases at Swartkop and Makhado, and the civil airport visits went very well, with good, often exhausting, ramp tours and great weather. Highlight of the tour for many was the DC-4 flights between Rand Airport and the AAD show at Waterkloof, though the show itself could have been better. | |
