Historic Aircraft Restoration Project - HARP, Floyd Bennett Field, New York

A huge hangar on this historic airfield houses this collection of interesting aircraft. We visited on 15th May.

Boeing C-97G Stratofreighter 52-2718 NR117GA (N117GA) as YC-97A '45-59595' Ex N117SK. Heavy rain and high fences limited photo opportunities for this restoration as the only C-97 used on the Berlin Airlift. Owned by the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation, it flew out on 7 November 2017.

Douglas C-47B (DC-3A) 44-76457 USAF - marked New York Air National Guard.
Fairchild PT-26B Cornell III N1321V Ex 43-36278, Canadian AF 10781, FZ228. Now in US Army markings.
Fisher FP-202 Koala Unregistered Wooden homebuilt, never flown.

Grumman G-21A Goose N644R City of New York Police markings. Ex USN JRF-5 87736.
Grumman S-2E Tracker 151664 US Navy
Lockheed SP-2E Neptune 131542 210 Loaned from the National Naval Aviation Museum, Pensacola.
