USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park, Mobile, Alabama
| This huge South Dakota-class battleship, BB-60, is moored in Mobile Bay. It was launched in 1942, served in the Atlantic and Pacific theatres, and decommissioned in 1947. It was opened as a museum in Mobile in 1965, and the surrounding park has a good aircraft collection. The aircraft were all damaged in Hurricane Katrina in 2005; some have been moved elsewhere, but most have been restored to their former good condition.
